1st Annual Kitsap Running Summit

For years, many of us have been working hard in the Kitsap running scene through coaching, volunteering, leading events, running groups, or helping athletes recover. Each of us has carried our piece of the puzzle.

This year, we’re going to do it together.

On January 31, 2026, Kitsap Running is hosting the 1st Annual Kitsap Running Summit, a gathering for race directors, run leaders, coaches, team leaders, PTs, running stores, volunteers, and enthusiastic runners looking to be more involved. We’ll swap ideas, share challenges, brainstorm solutions, and build stronger connections across our community.

It’s going to be a remarkable weekend of networking, learning, and growing together.

What Makes Kitsap Running Summit Special?

• Scenic Group Run: Begin the day with a beautiful run together along the Silverdale waterfront and local vibrant community. End with showers at the Haselwood YMCA before the conference.
• Keynote Speaker: 2X Olympic Trials marathon finisher Ruth Perkins on her experience becoming an unlikely elite runner, healing from an eating disorder while returning stronger and faster, and using her experience to coach runners in reaching their goals.
• Guest Speaker: Local ultrarunner and youth leader Greg Nance will share how running and his Keep Showing Up mantra helped him overcome depression and substance abuse to find his purpose.
• Workshop: Kitsap Physical Therapy presents Exercise as Medicine. Come ready for a deep dive into the many benefits of exercise. Bring your questions for the Q&A conclusion
• Meet the Community: Get to know the leaders in your immediate area, what they have to offer, and how you can work together to better support runners and the running community.
• Enjoy delicious food and snacks while building connections.

Our goal is to host afforable events with as many of the frills as possible, but not the unbelievable price. This registration goes to cover our costs and donate some back to the local community. We appreciate you joining us in supporting running in Kitsap.
